Library PressDisplay - missing editions - The Press & Southland Times

First of all apologies again to Libraries that do not subscribe to Library PressDisplay, but this to let those that do know that PressDisplay is currently missing today's editions of The Press and the Southland Times. I have logged a service desk query with ProQuest Technical support tsupport@proquest.com about it, but if you are having complaints from customers I would encourage you to do so as well in order to be updated directly about the issue.

Ancestry Library Edition connection errors

This is to let you know that a number of libraries have reported connection errors to Ancestry Library Edition. ProQuest have been alerted to the problem and hopefully it will be resolved soon.

I will update you all if I receive any further information.

Apologies to those of you that do not subscribe to Ancestry Library Edition or are not experiencing problems.

Another EPIC invoicing update

This is to let you all know that my finance people have let me know that all the EPIC invoices have now been processed for payment. You should receive them in the same manner that you receive other invoices from the Department of Internal Affairs (which is either via post or email) - i.e. if you usually receive Te Puna invoices via post, then your EPIC invoice should be delivered via post as well.

So...it turns out that the EPIC invoicing file is proving to be a bit of a nightmare for our finance team. The new EPIC model & product offer has meant that they are dealing with nearly 3 times the amount of invoicing lines that they dealt with for previous years' EPIC invoicing. They are slowly but surely getting them out, but the word from finance (while they are still talking to me...) is that they are unlikely to get the last of them out until some time next week.

At last I am getting to the absolute final parts in the EPIC subscription process for 2014, so with that in mind, this is a heads up about what to expect. And, completely unrelated, but probably a little more interesting, I also have a training offer from ProQuest for North Island libraries (don't despair, there will be a South Island offer later in the year).

Today is the start of the new 2014 EPIC subscription year, so I thought that I would take this opportunity to thank you all your support and most importantly for working through all the strange and wacky subscription processes that I put you through while we transfer to the new delivery model for this year.

This is a reminder to those libraries that are yet to return their EPIC subscription confirmations for 2014 (by email to epic@epic.org.nz ) that today (17 March) is the deadline to do so. (Subscription confirmation forms are available to download from the EPIC product information & trials for 2014 page of the EPIC website).
