New EPIC Agreements

17 June 2011

As you all know, the EPIC office is run out of the National Library of New Zealand and it is the National Library that enters into license agreements with electronic resource vendors on behalf of the EPIC membership. As you also all know, in February the National Library became a part of the Department of Internal Affairs. The EPIC license agreements with all our vendors have all been adapted to reflect this change in lead agency.

Oxford Access Issues

4 April 2011,

Some libraries are reporting that they are being asked for login credentials when trying to access Oxford Art Online, Oxford Music Online & the Oxford English Dictionary. I have contacted Oxford University Press, so they are aware of the problem and are working on rectifying it.

In the meantime, Oxford have supplied me with some login credentials that should enable you to access the resources while they work on fixing the problem.

EPIC Subscription Renewal Reminder

14 March 2011

This is a wee reminder that the deadline for returning your EPIC subscription renewals for 2011-12 is this Friday 18 March. As pricing for the EPIC Packages is divided proportionately among member libraries we need to hear back from all our member libraries in order to finalise pricing and invoicing for 2011-12.

EPIC re-subscription 2011-2012

18 February 2011,

Next week your library will receive your EPIC re-subscription letters for the new (2011-2012) EPIC subscription year (beginning April 1, 2011). Therefore, I thought that it might be timely to give you all a heads up about EPIC re-subscription and to let you know about all the exciting Opt-in Product subscriptions that are available in 2011.
